While every wedding calls for an overall seamless execution with every detail in place, it’s always hurricane season on the east coast that reminds me exactly why a wedding planner is worth every penny.
With Dorian relentless in her mission to ruin any outdoor plans for the weekend the team at TSE was in full action as we touched base with vendors, venues, suppliers, service providers etc.etc. Not for just one wedding but for two!
These beautiful brides were our main focus and despite what Dorian threw at us, if we had anything to say about it we were going to make sure these major life events would not be delayed.
One wedding was completely relocated from one state to another state, 172 miles north. We got on the phone with a mission to secure not only a venue but every single vendor and service needed. It was our goal for this wedding to look like it had always been planned in this location.
We took over all communication with the vendors and that meant no one was blowing up our brides phone up with dozens of questions and decisions for each particular vendor and their team. That’s our job. We already know what specific decisions will need to be made and how it will realistically affect the overall vision.
At one point we texted our bride about a core decision we needed her input for and received no response. Finally she responded and said, “Sorry, I was getting my nails done.” That’s just how we love it! Our bride was enjoying her day while on our end we were orchestrating a Dorian of my own.
In the initial stages of wedding planning one of the biggest challenges for our brides is that they are overwhelmed with where to start. Not only do we understand the struggle our experience has created a way for us to ask the right questions so that we provide our bride with clarity on the vision she wants to achieve. From color schemes, table seating, hard scapes, centerpieces, etc. we help our DIY bride fully realize the details of her most perfect day.
As Wedding Planners, we will catch things that you wouldn’t. We are seasoned in this industry and we are fully aware of the challenges and requirements. What is most beneficial to our services is that we know the details that most people would not think about. For example, when you change state for your wedding a new marriage license has to be obtained. But even if that’s not possible we have a solution! Not only do we know exactly what questions to ask our bride so that we deliver their vision of the perfect day but we also know what can be realistically delivered from vendors and venues.
We collaborate with certain vendors for a reason. We trust their work ethic, their attention to detail, and respect their work. They know what we required at TSE and we know what type of end result they will deliver. A pretty grid on instagram doesn’t mean that the vendor has your best interest at heart. We have created partnerships and relationships with vendors who have our best interest in mind which translates to our bride’s best interest. We recommend vendors, because we trust them 100%.
Venue coordinators and wedding planners are NOT the same. Venue coordinators work for the venue, but we work for YOU. We are your voice and we will communicate your vision for your dream day by making sure the layout will work and that there is room for everything. We determine where vendors will go, tables, chairs, food, who is set up where, will the props fit etc.
All the pre-game planning pays off when the big day arrives. This is the day that TSE will deliver for her bride. All the talking, planning, texting, emailing, visits etc. is poised to come to full vision on the day of. But I give you a word of caution. Without exception something will go awry. Not to worry because we already know that and our team is prepared.
In the process of bringing all of the moving pieces cohesively together we have experienced a variety of hurdles that present themselves hours before the I Do’s. What if your rental vendor forgot a tablecloth? What if your baker’s delivery truck broke down on the way to drop off your cake? What if the DJ didn’t bring the right music list? These are realistic problems that we see at every wedding.
NOT TO WORRY, we will fix everything and still be there to fluff your dress before you walk down the aisle and aside from a major breech of contract, our bride will never know any of those events took place moments before.
Even if a mandatory evacuation forces you to move your entire wedding venue, vendors, flowers, food, guests in under 2 days time, we are 100% confident we can do that!
